Business of Fashion - Denim vs. Athleisure!

Business of Fashion recently published an article on the revitalization of the denim trend, and its competition with athleisure. Author Tamison O'Connor writes that "US women’s and men’s jeans market grew 4 percent in 2016... the category's best performance in years."

She also sites that Millenials are causing this change. After the Spring we've had so far, I can definitely say that denim is back. I see well over 8 or 10 people a day on my campus embracing what they call "double denim," or wearing a jean jacket over denim bottoms. I haven't gotten so adventurous as to combine the two, but I wear denim almost every day as well.

Denim has absolutely taken the world by storm, once again! I absolutely love it, it's versatile & goes with pretty much everything. I'm so excited for this trend, and I think that it's much more functional, respectful, and appropriate than athleisure.
